It was bought more than 25 years ago in Panama. These baskets are woven by the Wounaan and Embera Indians of the Darien region. The fiber is from a palm and the dyes are all natural. They are all hand woven. This basket has unusual colors. Check out the bottom. ARTISAN MADE: by Panamanian indigenous artisans using passed Basket weaving techniques that are rooted deep in Embera
