This particular example dates to the 1960s. The seat of the piece is made of light yellow fiberglass, and the steel frame has a coat of black Rislan. The chair has the original Knoll bow tie label affixed, as well as an inventory tag from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, NY. The HQ was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM)
