Monkey Fist Door Stop Collection_Navy and Nelson bringing a touch of forgottenThis doorstop takes its inspiration from the monkeys fist knot, used as a weight on a heaving line, allowing mooring lines to be hurled between ship and dock. Its made by Master Ropemakers using 4 meters of manila rope. The process of rope making is at the heart of the historic Chatham Dockyard, dating back more than 400 years.
