This is a remarkably little acid etching of the original 1700s painting, The Milkmaid, by Jean Baptiste Greuze (1743 1784). The large original painting of this scened hangs in the Louvre, Paris. We've had it in miniature paintings done for the 19th century Grand Tour trade, but I've never seen it treated in this manner. Perfect
