The colours in this piece are an inspiration based on the colours I saw in Mali. It has souvenirs of my dad in it. Some of these things are papers that came out of his wallet after he died. It is very personal to me. Its not sad, it is small reminders of the fact that he lived. These pieces are the beginning of my work in collage."
